EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH MAKES IT FINAL, PUTS UP FINALS RECORD

Adrian Peterson made Bagger Bowl VIII official adding 19.35 points to an already big total for Employee Of The Month. The official score in the books was 132.79 - 62.74 over BuckeyeMike. The 132.79 points is the most ever in the Bagger Bowl, and is only 4 lower than the most scored in a single game by a team ever. Now to the 3rd place game...
KARDIAC KIDS CLINCHES 3RD PLACE WITH CHRIS JOHNSON

Chris Johnson's 18 point performance led Kardiac Kids to a 3rd place finish. The Kids had a great game from Robbie Gould also in the monday game which clinched it. Both Steve Smith's also had good games at 11.5 and 13 a piece to get the 80.61 - 72.82 victory over ECCGrounds who finished in 4th place. Finally, an honorable mention to Rowe's Pros, who won his second Toilet Bowl in arow with a 84.23 - 60.57 victory over AJ's All-Stars. Now to the Pro Bowl, Team Hyla will once again take on Red Tail Baggers in Week 17. The overall series record is Red Tail Baggers 4 and Team Hyla 2. In last year it was an extreme nailbiter with Team Hyla taking it 100.28 - 100.27. As always if a player is gaurenteed to get no playing time which would result in a 0, that player is subbed out for the next player on the team. Players that only play half the game are ok, there just cannot be a 0. The schedule will go as followed in annoucing the team.Today, DEF, K, and TEs, Dec 30 - WRs, Dec 31 - RBs, and finally Jan 2 - QBs, all the games will be on sunday so the results obviously will be posted on monday the 4th, with the MVP of 2009 being unveiled on Tuesday, Jan 5. STEVE SMITH CAN'T DIG KIDS OUT OF HOLE, FINALS MATCHUP SET, #1 VS #2

Steve Smith could not dig the Kids out of a 15 point hole down to BuckeyeMike as BuckeyeMike cemented his spot in Bagger Bowl VIII with his 89.11 - 85.51 victory over Kardiac Kids. Althought Steve Smith had 10.5 points less than specatular games from Robbie Gould (1) and DeAngelo Williams (1.3) sealed the Kids fate. He did have great games from Dallas Clark (20.25) and Steve Smith (CAR) (20.05) but will only play in the 3rd place game against ECCGrounds. BuckeyeMike was led by the Semi-Finals MVP, Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers had 383 passing yards with 3 TDs, along with 22 rushing yards and a rushing TD which was all good for 30.76pts. Also with big games were Miles Austin (18.45) and Brandon Marshall (13.15).
So the matchup is set as #1 Employee Of The Month takes on #2 BuckeyeMike. I have updated the Records section with Bagger Bowl and Playoff record standings, pretty interesting stuff to check out. Couple facts on Bagger Bowl VI:
2nd Bagger Bowl for BuckeyeMike
4th Bagger Bowl for Employee Of The Month
BuckeyeMike going for 1st title
Employee Of The Month going for 2nd, and tie for most ever
Employee Of The Month beat BuckeyeMike in their only playoff matchup in 2003 when Employee Of The Month won 109.22 - 87.40 in the semi-finals, Employee Of The Month went on to win his 1st title. I will be back on christmas eve with the matchup for Bagger Bowl VIII in detail.
Dec 21 Update -
EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH ADVANCE TO BAGGER BOWL VIII ON TOTAL TEAM EFFORT

Employee Of The Month will make his 2nd Bagger Bowl final in arow with his total team effort victory 92.72 - 50.44 over ECCGrounds. Jamaal Charles led the charge with 17.5 points on 154 yards rushing with a TD and 2 catches for 16 more yards. Also contributing was Adrian Peterson (12.9), Donovan McNabb (16.37), Randy Moss (12) and Anquan Boldin (12.6). In the losing effort, ECCGrounds had Tony Romo (13.29) and the rest of the team just could not get in the end zone to make it a game. The win puts Employee Of The Month into the Bagger Bowl against either BuckeyeMike or Kardiac Kids who game is yet to be decided but more on that in a bit. Not to be forgotten likely the semi-final defensive team of the week was the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles had 13 points allowed, 3 sacks, 3 interceptions and a fumble recovery which was all good for 9pts.

OTHER SEMI-FINAL GAME TO BE DECIDED ON MONDAY NIGHT

Aaron Rodgers put #2 seed BuckeyeMike up 14 going into the Monday Night game with Steve Smith from the Giants left to play for #3 Kardiac Kids. BuckeyeMike put up 89.11 pts on Sunday with Aaron Rodgers leading the way with 30.76 pts. The game will be decided on Monday Night and the winner will face #1 Employee Of The Month, while the loser will face #4 ECCGrounds in the 3rd place game. All eyes will be on Steve Smith to see if he can get 15 points. Stay Tuned....

The loss by Killer B's left them at 6-8, Peyton Manning (17.25) and Jason Snelling (13.1) was not enough in the loss.

He also got solid contributions from Frank Gore (17.85) and Miles Austin (12.55) and just finished around 8 points of finished 1st based on points. The loss for the Spider Monkeys couldn't come sooner as he droped his 10th in arow, tied for 2nd all-time in losing streaks and he finishes the year at 2-12 and in 2nd last. Well that does it for Week 14 and our entire 2009 regular season. Here are the complete standings for the 2009 season:

Dec 14 Update
AJ'S ALL-STAR'S WIN, BUT PLAYOFFS SHOT LIKELY GONE

Andre Johnson's 29.30 performance in Week 14 led AJ's All-Stars to a 102.55 - 72.69 victory over G & A, but likely leaving him outside a playoff spot. The victory put The Stars at 8-6, but with a win by ECCGrounds and Kardiac Kids that last playoff spot would be out of reach. The Grounds are up by alittle over 30 with Vernon Davis still late to play. In the victory, The Stars also had Matt Schaub (16.2), Maurice Jones-Drew (11.15), Ricky Williams (13.75) and also Marques Colston had 11.7. In the loss DeSean Jackson lead G & A with 19.90 points in the loss to finish G & A at 6-8.
CHRIS JOHNSON CONTINUES TO WIN GAMES FOR KARDIAC KIDS

Chris Johnson continues to win games for Kardiac Kids, and Week 14 was no exception as Chris Johnson put up 30.50pts in his 101.42 - 76.29 victory over Rowe's Pros. The 101.42 points puts Kardiac Kids on top of overall points in the whole league for the 2009 season with 1225.84. Johnson's 30 points was 2nd surprisingly in Week 14, but ill get to that tomorrow. Drew Brees also had a grea game with 17.82, as well as Dallas Clark (22.65), and Steve Smith (CAR) with 11.50. The win locks up the 3rd playoffs spot to finish at 9-5. The loss for Rowe's Pros puts him at 6-8 for the 2009 season. In the loss, Ryan Grant led the Pros with 22.20pts and also got some contributions from Vincent Jackson (11.5) and Antonio Gates (10.2). In the other games yet to be completed, Employee Of The Month pretty much wrapped it up over The Flashes leading by 38 points with Anquan Boldin left to play. Finally in the last game BuckeyeMike is likely to finish in 2nd with his lead of 27 with still Frank Gore left to play over the Spider Monkeys who still has Arizona left. Stay tuned for monday night football which will put a cap on the 2009 season....
Dec 8 Update
RAVENS D SHUTS DOWN GRANT, EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH SHUTS DOWN ROWE'S PROS

Ryan Grant's horrible 2.05 game held by the stout ravens rushing D, led Employee Of The Month to a sqeaker of a win, 102.51 - 102.11. The loss puts Rowe's Pros out of the playoffs with 1 game to go at 6-7, the win keeps Employee Of The Month at 1st place and clinches a playoff spot, either 1 or 2. Tony Romo's league leading 21.84 points in Week 13 gave him the MVP for the week, and a ECCGrounds victory over Kardiac Kids 83.74 - 81.23. Romo had 392 passing yards along with 3 TDs. Although he was the MVP, Ray Rice (4.05) and Donald Driver (8.05) were the players that won it for the Grounds on Monday Night Football. He also had help from Wes Welker (15.35), Vernon Davis (16.55) and another co-defensive team of the week in the Carolina Panthers. Well here we are with only 1 more week to go in the regular season where for 3 teams it could mean the playoffs or the toilet bowl. Coming down to the last few games it looked like there could be a few more battles for the last two spots. First looking at the matchups for Week 14, none of the 3 teams vying for the 3 and 4 playoff spots are playing each other. AJ's All-Stars who is 1 game back of that spot plays G & A, ECCGrounds currently in the 4th spot goes against Killer B's, and in the 3rd spot Kardiac Kids takes on Rowe's Pros. Employee Of The Month takes on The Flashes as he tries to finish in that 1st spot, and BuckeyeMike takes on Spider Monkeys as he also tries to go for that 1st spot needing a Employee Of The Month loss. Here are the playoff scenerios going into Week 14:
Employee Of The Month
will finish in 1st if: a win and keeps his 24 point lead on BuckeyeMike or a BuckeyeMike loss
will finish in 2nd if: a loss and a BuckeyeMike win, or a win and scores 24 less than BuckeyeMike
BuckeyeMike
will fiinsh 1st if: a win and scores 24 more points than Employee Of The Month or a Employee Of The Month loss
will finish 2nd if: a loss and Employee Of The Month win or a win and doesn't score 24 more points than Employee Of The Month

will finish 3rd if: a win or loss by ECCGrounds
will finish 4th if: a loss and ECCGrounds win or a win and ECCGrounds scoring 54 more points than Kardiac Kids
will finish 5th if: a loss, ECCGrounds win or scoring 54 more points than Kardiac Kids and AJ's All-Stars scoring 50 more points than Kardiac Kids
ECCGrounds

FITZGERALD PUTS PLAYOFFS HOPES IN DOUBT FOR AJ'S ALL-STARS

Larry Fitzgerald's 19.15 game was the difference in the sunday night game as Killer B's beat AJ's All-Stars 65.95 - 48.29. Percy Harvin also chipped in that game with 14.05 in the victory. The loss had one bright spot in Andre Johnson's 14.45 but the Stars couldn't come back from 0 points from Ben Watson and John Carney not playing as the loss puts the Stars now at 7-6. With a win by ECCGrounds and Rowe's Pros the playoffs will come down to the last week. Speaking of both those teams Rowe's Pros is down 2 points in a slobber knocker with Employee Of The Month in which the Pros still have Ryan Grant. ECCGrounds is down 14 to the Kardiac Kids with still Ray Rice and Donald Driver. Those two wins would make getting into the playoffs a very interesting proposition.
BUCKEYEMIKE PUSHES TOWARD POSSIBLE 1ST PLACE SPOT GOING INTO LAST WEEK

Calvin Johnson was one of the big contributers to BuckeyeMike in Week 13 as well as Stephen Jackson (10), Miles Austin (18.2), Brandon Marshall (14.3), Nate Kaeding (10), and the Philadelphia D (10) which could end up as the co-defensive team of the week. BuckeyeMike is leading 84.30 - 51.90 over G & A with still Todd Heap and Aaron Rodgers left to play on Monday Night. The win puts BuckeyeMike now at 10-3, with a likely Employee Of The Month loss will occupy 1st place going into the last week of the year, and virtually locking up a playoff spot. The loss puts G & A most likely out of the playoffs at 6-7 which is likely gonna be 2 back of a spot with 1 to go. Finally in the last game which is yet to be decided is the toilet bowl of the regular season as The Flashes have the early edge 64.05 - 49.30 over the Spider Monkeys. But the Spider Monkeys still have Derrick Mason & Mason Crosby down 15. Who will snap 2 of the worst losing streaks of our history? Stay Tuned for the monday night game which will shake up the playoff picture. I will have all the scenerios going into the last week in the Week 14 matchups later in the week......

RODDY WHITE JUST ENOUGH FOR EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH, STAYS IN 1ST

Roddy White's 15.40 performance on monday night football was 8 points enough to finish off Killer B's 68.70 - 60.54 to keep Employee Of The Month in first place. The 23 points by Tony Gonzalez and Michael Turner was not enough for the Killer B's who now fall to 3-5. Employee Of The Month also got nice performance's from Donovan McNabb (17.05) and Adrian Peterson (13.55) in his 4th win in arow.
POCKET HERCULES RUNS AJ'S ALL-STARS TO BIG WIN

Maurice Jones-Drew helped AJ's All-Stars outlast Kardiac Kids with an MVP performance in Week 8. His 23.15 points on 177 rushing yards, 2 TDs and a catch were all good for 23.15 pts and 101.90 points for AJ's All-Stars to the Kid's 91.11. Reggie Wayne also stepped up for the stars with 21.35, as well as Stephen Jackson (17.80) and Marques Colston (13.25). A great effort by Matt Forte (19.05), Drew Brees (14.31) and Steve Smith (11.15) was not enough for the Kid's who now fall to 5-3 with his second straight loss. The win puts AJ's All-Stars at 5-3 and now in 3rd, also having the most points in the league at 672.95.
BUCKEYEMIKE EDGES ROWE'S PROS BY 5, MOVES TO 2ND

The Philly D were the co-defensive team of the week along with the Vikes in Week 8. The Eagles gave up 17 points, had 2 sacks, 2 picks, and a fumble recovery for 6 points. BuckeyeMike also got help from Aaron Rodgers who had a game high 20.34 points in his win over Rowe's Pros 70.29 - 65.47 in a crucial win. The victory puts Bucekeye at 6-2 and now in 2nd, the loss puts Rowe's Pros at 4-4 which is now 2 back of the league so still in close distance. In the remaining games ECCGrounds kept pace and beat the Flashes 67.77 - 55.40 to get to 5-3, his 3rd win in arow. On the other hand the loss by The Flashes is his 5th in row and now falls to 1-7. Although making a trade this week brings optimism for next year now having two 3rd round picks for the 2010 draft. In the final game in a battle of 2-5 teams, G & A pulled out a win over Spider Monkeys 79.43 - 68.54. The win puts G & A at 3-5 and still 3 games back of the lead, 2 back of the playoff cut off with around 5 games to go. Here is the updated standing with 5 teams with only 1 game between them:

So stay tuned for Week 9, where the only likely shake up in standings would be some upsets.

MCNABB DOES JUST ENOUGH TO LEAD EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH TO 1ST PLACE

Donovan McNabb's monday night performance of 6.87 was just enough to come out on top of AJ's All-Stars 83.12 - 77.72. The win puts Employee Of The Month at 5-2 and now in 1st place with only 1 more point than Kardiac Kid. Employee Of The Month had good games from everyone with Adrian Peterson (14.45) and Devin Hester (16.05) with the extra boost he needed to win.
PHILLY D HOLD OFF KARDIAC KIDS IN GAME, AND STANDINGS

The Philadelphia Eagles D came up with a huge game for BuckeyeMike to upend Kardiac Kids 88.12 - 83.71. The Eagles D had 17 points allowed but with 6 sacks, an interception, 3 fumble recoveries and a TD earned 14 points. The win was unexpected as the Kids were up by 9. Also not forgotten was Miles Austin's performance again with 25.55 pts which looks to be a good pickup for them, unfortunely the Kids are haunted in the week before halloween by dropping Austin earlier in the year. The loss wasn't that big of a loss to take for the Kids though as with the loss stays in a 3 way tie based on record, and is only 1 point away from the top spot.
VERNON DAVIS, YES VERNON DAVIS LEADS TOP POINT SCORER ECCGROUNDS TO WEEK 7 WIN

Vernon Davis's surprising season continues as he puts up the top points for Week 7 at 26.15pts. He had a 7 catch game for 93 yards and 3 touchdowns which was the differenc in ECCGround's 102.67 - 82.16 victory over G & A. The victory puts ECCGrounds in the driver seat in terms of points reaching the 600 point mark before anyone else and also 20+ higher than anyone else, you've got to think the wins will come along as he continues to put up these kind of points. He also got tremednous games from Tony Romo (21.77), Cedric Benson (17.45), and Wes Welker (18.65) in the victory that puts him at 4-3 one behind the first cluster. The second cluster at 4-3 is also where Rowe's Pros is at with his Week 7 win, 80.91 - 73.71 over The Flashes. Despite the early concussion of Brian Westbrook, the Pros got great games out of Philip Rivers (18.26), Ryan Grant (16.05) and Vincent Jackson (17.60) and remains in the hunt despite a recent slow spurt. Taking a look at the standings, like i mentioned previously is 2 clusters of 5-2, and 4-3 with one 3-4 still having a chance to make some noise:

SURGING SLATON, STEADY MANNING LEAD KILLER B'S OVER SPIDER MONKEYS

Steve Slaton's 17.45 leads Killer B's over Spider Monkeys 73.05 - 65.22 in Slaton's second straight 17 point performance. Peyton Manning also chips in 16.65 points which puts him back into the top 5 after his bye week. Spider Monkeys had nice games from Thomas Jones (14.7) and Lee Evans (12.25) was not enough for the now 2-5 Spider Monkeys, while Killer B's goest to 3-4. This was really the only game decided as The Flashes and Rowe's Pros still one one a piece as well as G & A having 3 players going against ECCGrounds 1. In the final two games Employee Of the Month needs 1 point with Donovan McNabb to beat AJ's All-Stars, and BuckeyeMike needs 10 points from the Eagles D to win a big one against Kardiac Kids. Stay Tuned for monday night football to sort this all out.
Oct 20 Update
MORENO & MARSHALL NOT ENOUGH, BUCKEYEMIKE DROPS ONE TO EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

With the win, Employee Of The Month surges to 2nd place, and BuckeyeMike drops to 4th. The game ended in a 76.83 - 60.81 win for Employee Of The Month, BuckeyeMike's first loss since week 1. Employee Of The Month had a great game from Zach Miller who had to fill in for Jason Witten in his bye. AJ's All-Star's Matt Prater was just short of surpassing Employee Of The Month in points with 7 in the monday night game, so AJ's All-Stars stays in 3rd.
TOM BRADY (WEEK 6 MVP) NUDGES G & A JUST ENOUGH TO TOP KILLER B'S

Tom Brady's MVP Performance in Week 6 had him throwing for 380 yards and connecting on 6 TD's all good for 33.60pts. The output from Brady just falls out of the top 10 individuals performances in history. But the real hero of the G & A's 88.05 - 87.73 victory over Killer B's was and old mr. reliable. LaDainian Tomlinson didn't have a monster game but did just have enough in 6.50 points to get by with a 1 point win. In the final game, ECCGrounds kept the big lead over Rowe's Pros to win 98.78 - 66.13, both teams are .500 at 3-3. Here is the updated standings through Week 6:

DEANGELO WILLIAMS LEADS KARDIAC KIDS, REMAINS IN 1ST

DeAngelo William's 23.60 points on sunday was the difference in his 104.04 - 79.25 win over The Flashes. The Kids will likely remain in 1st place at 5-1, and The Flashes fall to 1-5 in their second back to back 100 points against performance while still putting up good points. The Flashes got a heck of a game from Randy Moss, who is worth mentioning putting up 30.45 pts with 8 catches for 129 yards and 3 touchdowns. Can BuckeyeMike join The Kids or will Employee Of The Month finish them off and can BuckeyeMike win his 5th in arow? Those questions will be answered after the monday night game when Buckeye Mike has Brandon Marshall and Knowshon Moreno and down 23 to Employee Of The Month.
AJ's ALL-STARS WINS ANOTHER ONE, LIKELY MOVES UP TO 3RD

Maurice Jones-Drew flexed his muscles on sunday putting up a 30.40 spot for AJ's All-Stars in his win over the Spider Monkeys. The Stars still have Matt Prater on monday night to add to his total, now around 8 back of Kardiac Kids second highest point total. Prater's points are essential as the Stars might pass Employee Of the Months in points if he can get a great game out of Prater which would elevate him to 2nd if Employee Of The Month wins. Jones-Drew had a monster game with 133 rushing yards with 3 TDs on the ground, also catching 5 catches for 45 yards and he did lose a fumble. The performance might make him MVP of Week 6, thats if G & A doesn't get at least 6.5 points from LT in the monday night game. Those points by LT could overtake Killer B's and give G & A their 2nd straight win after going 0-4 to start the year. In the final game, Rowe's Pros is way behind ECCGrounds, around 44 points but still has Philip Rivers, Vincent Jackson, & Antonio Gates to go against ECCGrounds which also has Kyle Orton going on Monday Night. Stay Tuned as the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th positions will be determined with the monday night results....

In a tough week with tons of bye weeks on Rowe's Pros roster, Joseph Addai's 15 points and his kicker and defense chipping in 18 total was not enough. The results puts Employee Of The Month and AJ's All-Stars all at 3-2 one game behind the leaders.
RONNIE BROWN ICES VICTORY FOR BUCKEYEMIKE

AJ'S ALL-STARS SQUEAKS BY KILLER B'S TO STAY IN FIRST

Percy Harvin was the last player going for the B's but his 2.95 was not enough to overcome 1st place AJ's All-Stars. In other games, BuckeyeMike got the win over G & A, 72.43 - 58.90. Aug 1 Update
August has arrived and so has a new update to the website. ALL current teams have been updated with their keepers as well as schedules for the 2009 season. The Schedule & Results section will be updated real soon as well.
T & A has some changes this year as they will be now know as G & A. Tommy G has left the league for 2009 due to a busy schedule, hopefully he will soon rejoin us next season. Taking Tommy's place will be Greg Hanson, a former bagger in 2008 will help out Adam this year.
The Red Tail Bagger Fantasy Football Draft will take place SATURDAY, AUGUST 22ND @ 2PM at the Hyla House. I will have draft packets as usual with worksheets available, or you can bring this spreadsheet with you with the keepers filled in.
A few different things were discussed at Keeper Night last night, things that will be talked about before the draft. They are:
- A push back of keeper night till possibly the 2nd Thursday in August
- A 4th Keeper instead of 3 with possibly 2 more draft rounds
- Discussion of the waiver system, seems to have gone real well last year.
- League Fee which was at 75 last year, possibly up to 80 this year.
- These will all be discussed before the draft, if there is anything else that you can think of i recommend also bringing it up at the draft.
Their were a few trades here and there last night:
Employee Of The Month Trades
7th Round Pick (61)
to
Rowe's Pros for
13th Round Pick (126) & Rights to Pierre Thomas in 9th Round
